1. What a trade is
A trade is an exchange of cards between two collectors, card for card, one or more on each side. Money and points are never part of a trade. There is also a swap with the platform (see below). You can trade between series, when more series exist.
2. What can be traded
Only copies that are opened, that you own and that are not locked in another proposal. Cards marked CHECK-IN, QUIZ or SECURITY cannot be traded; cards of a complete set cannot be traded while the set is locked.
3. How a trade works
You choose a collector and the cards on both sides and send a proposal. The cards you offer are locked until the other collector answers; the cards you ask for stay free until acceptance. When the proposal is accepted, all the cards change owners together, in a single operation, so nobody can be left without the cards they were promised. The copy keeps its number, its value coefficient and its history. Other open proposals that involve cards that moved are cancelled automatically.
4. Answers, expiry and limits
The other collector can accept, decline or answer with a counter-proposal; you can withdraw your proposal while it is open; a proposal that is not answered expires after the period shown. To keep trading fair we may limit the number of open proposals per account and per pair of collectors and the number of cards on each side. A trade that has been accepted is final.
5. Finding collectors
The platform shows you which collectors have cards that you miss among their duplicates, and which of your duplicates they need, and you can propose a trade directly. You can mark missing cards as preferred so that they show first. When a new collector appears who has what you miss, we can notify you in your account and, if you choose it, by email.
6. Privacy in trades
A collector who hides the profile appears as “Collector” in trades, and can propose to others but can be reached only through matches, a counter-proposal or an existing proposal. The public page of a proposal, which can be shared, shows the cards and the status and no more than the names allowed by these settings.
7. Gifts
A proposal in which only one side gives cards (a gift) is available only when we turn it on, and with limits and conditions (for example the age of both accounts). A gift is final once accepted and is not a way to sell cards.
8. The swap with the platform
When it is available, you can swap 5 duplicates of the same rarity for 1 missing card of that rarity, allocated from the stock. The 5 duplicates must be opened, active, not locked in a trade and not marked CHECK-IN, QUIZ or SECURITY; the swapped copies leave your account for good and do not return to the stock. You receive the new card in a pack in your account. You can also buy a single missing card at the price shown at that moment. A share of the print run of every number is kept in reserve for these two uses. They are offered while the series is on sale and may be limited per account.
9. What is forbidden
Fraud and deception; asking for or giving money, points or anything of value for cards, inside or outside the platform; using trades to launder bonuses or to get around limits; several accounts that trade with each other; pressure on other collectors; selling accounts. Offers for money are not allowed on the forum either, only swaps.
10. Cancellation by us
We may cancel a trade that is still open, and we may restrict trading for an account, if there is a suspicion of fraud or abuse, with a recorded reason. If a payment of a collector is reversed through the bank, that collector’s open proposals are cancelled and trades already accepted with other collectors stay valid, so that an innocent person is not harmed.
11. Records
Every trade and every move of a copy is recorded in the history of the copy, which is never erased, and can be checked on the verification page of the copy.
12. Notifications
We tell you in your account when you receive an answer, a proposal or a counter-proposal, and by email only if you chose it in your settings.
