A gift for car lovers: a digital collection

A car enthusiast probably has enough objects on the shelf already. Perhaps they do not yet have a digital collection, where the vehicles of the future sit in an album that grows over time. If you are thinking of a different kind of gift, this guide shows what an FTR 2050 collection looks like and what is worth knowing before you choose.

Why a digital collection can be a fitting gift

The gift takes up no space and needs no shelf. It gives the recipient something to do over time: browse the catalog, pick favourites, open packs and build an album. For a car enthusiast, the FTR 2050 universe has an extra charm: imagined vehicles from fictional brands, with specifications you can compare.

What the recipient actually gets

• A free account with a personal album.
• Access to the catalog of 500 vehicles from 40 brands.
• The ability to open packs of 10 cards each.
• Trades with other collectors, card for card, no money involved.
• A leaderboard and badges for collection progress.

New accounts that meet the terms of the active offer receive, once the email is verified, a free pack of 10 cards. The full rules are in the account perks.

Who it suits

The collection suits people who love cars, design and fictional universes. It also suits those who enjoy completing sets, where patience and planning matter. The platform is intended for people aged 18 and over.

What to consider first

• Availability. For now FTR 2050 is available only in Romania, so the recipient needs to have their account and billing address here.
• The nature of the gift. The cards are digital collectibles. They are not physical objects and not an investment.
• A personal account. Each collector uses their own account. The simplest approach is for the recipient to create their own account and choose their own pace.
• Price. Pack prices are shown on the home page and may change; check them there before you decide.

How to help them get started

A good start is to show them the catalog, so they can see what exists, and to send them the guide How to start a digital collection. If they want to understand the levels better, you can also recommend the guide FTR 2050 rarities.

A few cards from the collection

Here are a few cards from the catalog, to give you an idea of what they will discover:

• #001 CONCEPT ZERO · AURENT, Legendary
• #002 SUMMIT X · KORVAN, Rare
• #003 MORPH-3 · RAILEN, Epic
• #004 HYDRA-4 · HYDRION, Common
• #005 NIGHT CRUISER · SYNAPT, Rare
• #007 NOMAD HOME · TERRAVIA, Rare

How to present the gift

A digital gift needs a little staging. You can write a personal message, pick a few favourite cards from the catalog together with the recipient or simply send the link of a card that fits their taste. Each card page has share buttons, and the link works without an account.

A simple idea to begin with

Pick a few vehicles from the catalog and tell them what you liked about them. Then invite them to create their own account and build their album. The real gift is the time spent together and the pleasure of discovering a new universe.

Questions to ask before you choose

• Do they like cars and imagined universes?
• Do they enjoy completing sets and tracking progress?
• Are they over 18 and living in Romania?
• Would they rather choose their own pace and their own cards?

If the answers are mostly “yes”, a digital collection is a fitting choice.

When it fits

A digital collection can be a good idea for a birthday, for the holidays or simply for a moment when you want to show you care. It is not an impulse gift but one that benefits from time: the recipient can explore it at their own pace.
